lyrics
Absent minds embarking in ancient rites
For reasons obscured and obsolete
A crippled herd without no direction
Walk the forgotten path
Manic relief in forsaken faces
A sign of lost times
Scriptures of horror and blistering death
Towards the rapture, as I take my final breath
In torment they will not be abandoned
Submitting to lies, submerging into doldrums
A riddle for the mute
A guide for the insane
The call of the apocalypse, final retribution
Catalyst deconstruction, death submerges
Scriptures of horror and blistering death
Towards the rapture, as I take my final breath
A veil for the blind, a chant for the deaf
A riddle for the mute, a shield for the numb
A shroud for the mind, a guide for the insane
A quest for the abject, a dance for the dead
A crutch for consolation

The album description mentions an “emotional apex.” That’s really the difference between Stare and the band’s previous albums. Ulcerate was always supremely technically proficient. I just didn’t care all that much. Their growth has come from making music you will feel. Metallurgical Fire

So after spending the better part of the last 2 years going as hard as possible at every extreme metal show I could on the US East Coast, you could say I'm burned out on death metal music lol. I'm sorry, but after seeing hundreds of great bands - shit just seems kind of same-y to me, you know? So it takes something really special to bring me back into the death metal fold. Fossilization are my boys & this is an amazing work of art. I cannot recommend it enough. Now... back to my Coltrane 😂🤣 bcb723
